Year of the Dragon

A still life inspired by a dragon sculpture my parents bought me in Key West. Last year my firends and I noticed that the dragon made the shape of the year 2000, and we wondered if it ment anything. Upon looking it up we found out that it did. Turns out the Year 2000 was the year of the Dragon in Chinese culture, and so the still life collection began! Everything here with the exception of a few Japanese inspired drinks and writing (mostly cause I kept forgeting which it was, Japanese or Chinese) is Chinese inspired.

Things in the Picture I own:
- Dragon
- Wooden Box
-Candle

Comments and helpful critique are as always very much incouraged =]

My children and I are all dragon year babies! :) This is a gorgeous still life. I usually don't see Asian influenced ones, and I love your idea. Great use of color and shadows!
